User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040614 Firefox/0.9 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040614 Firefox/0.9 The distance between the top of the tab and the bottom of the bookmarks toolbar is different for these two cases: a) Only one tab is open ("hide tab bar when only one website is open" DISABLED, of course) b) More than one tab is open. When the second tab is opened, the spacing increases a pixel or two. Aside from a slight "jump" this also triggers any javascript onResize, which can be *extremely* annoying. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Uncheck "Hide tab bar when only one website is loaded". 2. Open a single tab. 3. Open a second tab, while noticing the vertical position of the tab bar. Actual Results: The vertical position of the tab bar shifts by a pixel or two when a second tab is opened. Expected Results: Vertical positioning of the tab bar should be the same, regardless of number of tabs open.

Are you referring to the fact that it gets deselected as the current tab when you open a new one? In this case, it changes and drops down a little bit, and changes colour. Is this what you're referring to, if so, this is by design.

José is correct. It is indeed a dupe. I'm a bit annoyed with myself for not finding the existing report on it (despite having searched, but apparently not nearly well enough).
