User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040614 Firefox/0.8 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040614 Firefox/0.8 Worked in 0.8. Note this is an upgrade from 0.8 so it may be profile issue. Firefox loxks up with high CPU useage and page never finishes loading. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open inititial web page 2. browse down to subtopics until you get to an idividual post 3. Click on post and right frme has blank screen, progress bar on bottom hits anout 95% then browser locks up. Actual Results: Browser hung, only option is to kill it. I notice that user agent reports Firefox 0.8. Help about shows version 0.9 but agent shows 0.8
WFM Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040614 Firefox/0.9 Your Build Identifier says 0.8 yet you say Help: About shows version 0.9? Did you install 0.9 into the same directory as 0.8 was in without uninstalling it? Please read http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/releases/0.9.html and note that you currently CANNOT install on top of old versions of Firefox. Can you try installing 0.9 into a clean directory and then responding whether or not you still see the issue?

I had done a reinstall of Win2k. Thus I lost all my settings. I installed 0.9 but restored the profile from the old win2k image. I repeated the same thing this time, but this time imported the bookmarks from the old settings. It works fine now.
