I used the release 0.9. this bug is valid on 0.8 release build too
It opened a page that tells you need application/x-pw-oleobject-2.6 along with
the URL. Have you installed it? Obviously I'm without it and it's WFM on
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8a2) Gecko/20040627
Firefox/0.8.0+.

I do not have it installed on my system.

Let me give an alternate steps to reproduce the bug.

1) Go to: http://www.fleet.com
2) select credit cards from the selectbox
3) click on Go button
4) click on login button on top right

Browser crashes. talkback is not activated
Keywords: crash
Summary: browser crashes on visiting the URL → browser crashes on visiting the mycard.fleet.com/cma/login.do
That is odd. Here is the html code around the image link:

<TR>
          <TD width=1 bgColor=#649bce height=26><IMG height=26 alt=""
            src="images/spacer.gif" width=1
          border=0></TD>
          <TD bgColor=#31639c height=26 class="manage" valign="middle"
width="129">&nbsp; &nbsp;Manage
            Your Account: &nbsp; </TD>
          <TD bgColor=#31639c height=26 class="manage" valign="middle"
width="113"><a href="http://mycard.fleet.com"><img src="images/login.gif"
border="0" alt="Login" width="48" height="18" align="middle"></a>
            &nbsp; <a href="https://mycard.fleet.com/cma/cma/enroll.do"><img
src="images/enroll.gif" border="0" alt="Enroll" width="48" height="18"
align="middle"></a></TD>

        </TR>

Weird thing is, if I go directly to
href="https://mycard.fleet.com/cma/cma/enroll.do , the page loads fine. But if
I click on the Login image, the content window/tab simply closes (Mozilla
doesn't crash).

Sorry, the Login image is supposed to take you to http://mycard.fleet.com which
redirects to https://mycard.fleet.com/cma/login.do. When I go directly to
http://mycard.fleet.com, https://mycard.fleet.com/cma/login.do loads fine and a
new window opens that tells me I need a plugin (see Comment #3). But as I said,
clicking on the image link doesn't seem to work.

I was able to reproduce this with Firefox 0.9.1 and Mozilla 1.7.
