User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040803 Firefox/0.9.3 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040803 Firefox/0.9.3 I have used Mozilla family of brousers in Linux for several years. And I noticed that after you've turned to building it with XFT mozillas seased to show Japanese syllable alphabet (in some sites). However if I start the brouser prepending export GDK_USE_XFT="0" it renders the page in question as it should, i.e without loosing the text information. PS. I run Firefoxen both under ru_RU.KOI8-R and under ja_JP.eucJP The problrem exists elsewhere. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. start the brouser w/o turning XFT off 2. as an example open URL http://polusharie.com/?id=Guest-1083789104;board=japan_daily_life;action=display;num=1078297102;start=0;#13 3. look for string Сообщение #3 03/03/04 в 10:18:58 4. highlight the last line 家電修理 (かでんしゅうり) ремонт бытовой электроники 5. watch Hiragana symbols appear as you extend the selection to the right, then disapper soon as they are selected 6. Do something about it, please. PS. As I started Firefox 09.3 with XFT I cannot see Hiragana in this form I'm filling in. Actual Results: See Steps to Reproduce section Expected Results: Hiragana should be visible
