RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 241987

Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20040918 Firefox/0.10
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20040918 Firefox/0.10

The export bookmarks command in the bookmark manager doesn't export any
bookmarks but creates a 0-byte file instead.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Add a few bookmarks (if you don't have any).
2. Open bookmark manager.
3. File -> Export.
4. Slelect a path/filename.
5. Click OK.

Actual Results:
0-byte file created at location (w/o any bookmarks)

Expected Results:
All of my bookmarks will be exported to given file.
Based on a few ideas from other bugs I've seen I totally removed my ~/.mozilla
directory (actually I just renamed it) and this problem goes away.

Based on a few other bugs I've had (and their quick resolution by starting w/o a
~/.mozilla dir) it seems as if it doesn't import settings from Mozilla 1.7.x
properly.

Prior config was Gentoo Linux/Gnome 2.6/Mozilla 1.7.3
