RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 210251

People

(Reporter: thorhajo, Assigned: bugzilla)

Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20040913 Firefox/0.10.1
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20040913 Firefox/0.10.1

The talkback agent never manages to upload anything. It just keeps looping
between connecting and (oddly enough) receiving, and finally tells me it has
failed to connect.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go to a web page that crashes Firefox. ;)
2. Agree to send in feedback using the Talkback agent.
3. Profit! :D

Actual Results:
It attempts to upload, "Sending incident 1 of 1", but fails everytime.

Expected Results:
It should've uploaded the error. That talkback thing has never worked for me, in
any version, no matter how much I try.
Take a look at bug 210251 and see if that sounds like what you are seeing: I was
about to 'me too!' this when I ran across it, which fits me perfectly, including
dialup. As suggested there, you can trigger a crash (if you have a pre-20041012
build, adding the testcase in bug 263394 as a Live Bookmark will let you crash
on command, though you have to be ready to edit your bookmarks.html manually to
get rid of it) and add a unique string in the Talkback comment to see whether
you are successfully sending and just not getting confirmation.
