* TITLE/SUMMARY Clicking on Bookmarks toolbar menu doesn't always open it * STEPS TO REPRODUCE 0) Launch Apprunner with a fairly large (exceeds screen size) bookmarks file. 1) Place your browser window so that its top edge is no higher than the 80th row of pixels in your screen. Window size doesn't matter. 2) Click on the Bookmarks pop-up menu (in the Toolbar) * RESULT - What happened The menu will display _very_ briefly (.1 second?) , and then immediately disappear. Holding down the mouse button, however, results in the menu appearing correctly. If you don't see this within 1 minute of trying to reproduce it, just drop by my cube. It's really easy. - What was expected Menu to remain up when invoked by single-click irregardless of location on-screen. * REGRESSION - Occurs On Mac OS Apprunner (2.24.00 AM optimized build) Win32/Linux Apprunner (2.23.00 AM build --- used a different bookmarks file. Note that location of window had to be much further down screen.) * CONFIGURATIONS TESTED - [Mac] Beige Power Mac G3 (266 MHz PowerPC 750), 96 MB RAM (VM on; 1 MB of VM used), 1024x768 (Thousands of Colors), Mac OS 8.6 - [Win32] Vectra VL (233 MHz P2), 96 MB RAM, 800x600 (True Color), NT 4.0 SP5. - [Linux] Vectra VL (266 MHz P2), 96 MB RAM. Red Hat Linux 6.0 (GNOME).

didn't realize how bad this was until I saw the dupe. If you have enough bookmarks such that the list is as long as your screen, the click to open the menu(popup) goes through to the popup and selects one of your bookmarks, the same one, every time. You can't access your bookmark via the ptoolbar popup. Like pink was saying this is bad. I still vote for PDT+ but the work around is straightforward. Use bookmarks elsewhere or just clikc and hold when you click on the popup.

PDT+ since we bet lots of users have long bookmark lists, but we're worried about risk. This should become PDT- on 3/3
