external application window displaced to right

Details
When I open a new window from an external application, e.g., clicking on a link in Gnome termial, or opeining a local file, the position of the window is displaced to the right by about 1300 px on a 1600 px monitor. This happened in the most recent trunk builds. It seems to coincide with another, more minor bug. Usually when I start Firefox, it puts the upper left of the window at position 0+0, regardless of what else is open. But now it puts it below the border of Gnome terminal. I will be investigating more, and may add more later.

(In reply to comment #1) > related to bug 324348/bug 297541? Probably it is. I have now read that report 5 times, and I think I understand it. I did notice the small size, but that was easily fixed: when I made the window larger, the size was remembered. So probably this should be a duplicate of that bug, although it is possible that the failure to position at 0+0 is something else.

This bug is now fixed on the trunk, probably as a result of fixing bug 324348. I think it shoule be marked FIXED. (I'll try to do that, but I don't think I have the power.)
