OK, typing one-handedly and hitting Enter at the wrong time in Bugzilla is asking for trouble. Trying again: It'd be nice if one could QI nsIConsoleMessages to nsIExceptions in order to get more data on what's going on. Specifically, in order to figure out what document the error is about. See the URL.

the stack trace parts of the nsIException would also be interesting

Agreed, the stack trace and document context are the most important pieces of this right now. (I don't think this necessarily blocks 228205, but that's definitely more right than the other way around!)

OK, so after lengthy debate & discussion, this ain't going to roll. If you look at the URL, plan B is where things are headed to. Marking WONTFIX. If anyone else wants to have a go, they can, but should be prepared to fight timeless and probably other people in doing something that tries to solve bug 228205's trouble internally, without solving bug 228205 itself. I'm not morphing this bug since plan B doesn't really need a bug here at all.
