Reproduced with recent builds on Mac and WinNT. I first noticed the problem 
yesterday (Monday April 3rd) but it may have been there for a couple of days.
- Go to the Font prefs panel
- Click on any the font popup menus
==> The dropdown list shows only one empty element.

ben & erik said it wasn't their fault. Assigned to matt. CCd hyatt & rods in case 
they modified something in the widget recently.
don, any idea when this can get fixed?

Oh crap.  Matt, since you're at Internet World, my guess is that you didn't
change anything.  Who should get this?

The XPToolkit group has been making a number of changes recently. Perhaps this
bug was an inadvertent effect of that work.

Actually the first dropdown box in prefs/fonts work (the one labeled "Fonts for"
where you select characterset for Western etc.) The three boxes below do not
work, only an empty selection show. The dropdowns with fontsizes are OK.
For all these boxes the arrow vanish when you click on them but that i reported
- or attempted to - in bug 34801

There was a problem in bug 26508 where prefs scrollbars didn't scroll. Now that
scrollbar widgets there are completely gone it may be a very different bug, but
the one who fixed 26508 was blizzard@redhat.com
He might recognice this landscape.. perhaps an idea to CC him?

My luck.. Blizzard changed to blizzard@mozilla.org only "hours ago" - perhaps an

hurm. well, as of 2000.05.03.08 (comm), the font droplists do indeed list fonts
(although the droplists do not have scrollbars).
This is fixed now......Marking Fixed....please write new bug for scroll bars if 
needed.  Putting on [nsbeta2-] radar. Not critical to beta2.

removing self from cc'list
sairuh: we can see the font lists now but on the Mac they are completely 
inoperant. Last I checked on Windows, it worked. On Unix, I don't know. You can 
mark this bug Fixed but please make sure there is a another one filed against the 
font selection that doesn't work on the Mac. You can check with erik and ftang 
first, I may already have opened a bug on this problem.

marking this particular issue as fixed. filed bug 40219 for font prefs not
working on mac.

heh, i found bug 38318 (then made 40219 a dup of that one), for the Mac font
issue. verifying this one.
