Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 7.0; Windows NT 5.1; .NET CLR 1.1.4322; FDM; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; InfoPath.2)
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9) Gecko/2008051206 Firefox/3.0

The browser repeatedly asks for proxy authentication. ISA proxy server. Whenever a page is loading or refreshing several proxy authentciation requests pop up (username password saved). I have to keep clicking on OK until all components of the website have loaded. Happens on all website with multiple elemnts. Like a simple google page wold open, but opening a wiki page would make the browser ask for proxy authentication repeatedly.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Set the proxy settings. (ISA)
2. Open a website with multiple components (elements).
Actual Results:
Multiple proxy authenticatio dialogs

Expected Results:
The software should have asked for the proxy authentication just once and applied and used it in all the tabs and the current browser. Upon closening and reopening the browser should only proxy reauthentication be asked for.

Does this also happen in Firefox Safe Mode?

Did a little searching. This seems to be a dupe.

See bug 379573 and bug 356097 comment #13, #14, & #15.

OK I am sorry it does seem to be a dupe although I am not sure what a master password is. But this problem is very upsetting and it destroys the complete user experience I mean imagine opening a page and a million prompts popup.
