Changes needed to make this more effective:

> make width of first tree (available tabs) wider to support many levels of 
children folders.  Second tree (My Sidebar) should be thinner.
> remove icons for each tab (but keep icons for folders)

Resize behavior is fine as is.

bug 48913 is also related to sidebar ui...
1/2 of this bug is fixed, it now sizes the panes properly, what remains now is 
removing the bookmark icons for the panel items...then we can close this puppy.
