Used 07-14-09-M17 Linux & Windows commercial build Thread Pane turned to blank when scrolled down the scroll bar from the thread pane 1) Login to an IMAP Mail 2) From the thread pane, scrolled down the scroll bar from the thread pane. 3) Actual Results: Thread Pane turned to blank when scrolled down the scroll bar from the thread pane. Expected Results: Should just scroll Inbox messages down from the thread pane without blank.
Change platforms to ALL since it is occurring on Mac 07-14-11-M17 as well....

reassigning to hyatt. I'm going to take a guess that this is a dup of the scrollbar bug where things start going blank after deleting.

I can't understand what this bug is talking about. Since I already have bugs on the tree widget screwing up when deleting, I'm just going to assume this is that same problem. If you're talking about the problem with the brief blankness as you page down before content fills in, well, that won't be fixed by 6.0. Sorry.

Well. This problem used to exist. But by using 08-25-08-M18 commercial build, it seems that it's making progress now. I didn't see this problem for current build. Marking as verified.

Wontfix is really the wrong resolution for this bug, since it means " The problem described is a bug which will never be fixed." This was a problem, and if it were still a problem, we would intend to fix it someday.
Problem is still occurring on today's 09-07-09-M18 commercial build. And based on Peter's comments, I need to reopen this bug.

Thanks, but we still need a clear description of the problem, and steps that we can use to reproduce it. Is this a temporary blanking *during* the scroll, or does any part of the pane stay blank?

Yes, I do not understand what problem this bug is describing. Please add more information. Thanks.
I mean temporary blanking *during* the scroll.
Thanks! ->future/nsbeta3-, clarified summary.

The blank spaces (still) don't always go away when you stop scrolling.
Sounds like morphing here. Is there another bug for blank after scroll? This bug report describes a real defect, however minor, so I'd rather not morph it into something else.
OK, the other bug is 54049.

*** Bug 54555 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. ***
There haven't been any comments in a while so I'll add what I'm seeing. I notice this mostly in the mailnews folder pane, though I have encounered this in the 3pane. Sometimes I scroll (generally up) and it goes blank. Scrolling some more will make everything refresh and be ok. I've also noticed this in the buddy list tree.
->bryner, but shouldn't be a problem with new tree widget.

-> mozilla 1.0 in anticipation of mailnews perf branch landing.
Target Milestone: mozilla0.9 → mozilla1.0
On my primary machines (OS 9.1, Win2K, and Mandrake 7.2 with KDE) I'm not experiencing this anymore. There is a similar bug filed to Hyatt. Bryner, feel free to mark FIXED...
Probably because of the switch to outliner.
