User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.0.5) Gecko/2008120122 Firefox/3.0.5 Build Identifier: 2.0.0.19 (20081209) Thunderbird saves attachment to wrong location when you select Detach All and select a root directory on the filesystem as the destination. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Open any message with an attachment that hasn't been detached yet. 2.Choose File, Attachments, Detach all 3.Browse to "My Computer","C:". Press OK. 4.Normal warning message, "This cannot be undone" is displayed. Press OK. Actual Results: File was saved in "C:\program files\mozilla thunderbird" Expected Results: File should have been saved in C:\ Due to bug 448576, "Detach All" is always triggered on my system, even when I right-click on an individual file and select "Detach...". I also noticed different behaviour if the destination file already exists in "C:\program files\thunderbird". The UI detects that the file exists. Then if I press [Cancel], I am prompted with a File Browser window. Then if I select C:\ it is saved in the right place.

DUP of Bug 134796? By the way, bug summary is very similar. Have you searched B.M.O via "Advanced Search" including DUP'ed bugs before open new bug? > Your bug : Detach All to root directory detaches to wrong location. > Bug 134796 : "Save All" to root of drive (c:\) saves to wrong directory (to Working Folder/Current Directory)

Very likely, duping. Rohan: please comment in that bug if you still see the problem with a build from comment 2.
