I added COLUMNS_DISPLAY_WHEN_POSSIBLE to FolderDisplayWidget. It's technically a hack, since we now just always show the location column when you enter a virtual folder and there's nothing you can do to stop it, although you can try and make the column very tiny so you don't notice. The 'correct' plan in my mind is to save column configurations as properties on folders. The first time you enter a virtual folder, we would turn on the location column by default, but then if you turn it off, it stays off.

fixed by 2009-06-12 landing from bug 474701. good point in paragraph 2. we can tag bug 374551 for that - Location column visibility is not persisted in saved searches
