Are you using the nvidia drivers? If so this is bug 469439
Do you mean fullscreen of the youtube video or of the browser? Can you please try to start Firefox in Safe Mode (http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Safe+Mode) to check if any of the installed extensions are the cause of this hang?
Keywords: hang
Summary: Fullscreening youtube videos crashes Flash → Fullscreening youtube videos freezes Flash
Oh and is it a freeze or crash? If it is a crash please give us the crash id which you can find by opening "about:crashes" via the location bar.
It is a freeze, I have to kill it because it doesn't respond. I have nvidia 180.44 drivers, that may cause this, but it DOESN'T happen on 3.0.x Safe mode doesn't help.
Which version of Flash is it btw? Is that one a clone or the original version coming from Adobe?
10.0 r22 from the ubuntu repo, genuine adobe I hope they will go open source soon
Dan: please try upgrading to latest available NVIDIA drivers?
180.44 is latest from the repositories. Shall try to install 185.18.14 from source?
Guess not, I was just responding to a previous comment that indicated this was a problem with older NVIDIA drivers. Chris: any ideas?
Adding jst - need to figure out what's going on here, and if it's a blocker.

Does the hang still happen when hardware acceleration is disabled in the Flash plugin? (settings are available from the context menu on the Flash movie)
HW acceleration disabled - does not freeze. HW acceleration enabled - freezes with this error message, only being able to kill -9. Process remains with xkill, window disappears. !!!
