Using aug30 commercial build, all platforms
Reproduced on both migrated and new profile

Search messages on POP crashes upon clicking Search button.

1. Go to mail window, login to POP account, Get messages.
2. Select Inbox, select a message.
3. Search|Search Mail/News Messages.
Search ui launches with POP inbox selected.
4. Use the default "subject contains" criteria and type a value in the text
field which will result in a match (I used text from the subject of the message
which I had selected).
5. Click Search button. Crash occurs.

Will attach talkback.
Regression since 08-25.
nominating for dogfood, since it will affect search testing.
nominating for beta3 if we don't consider this dogfood.

stack similar to bug 50224?
In this (POP) bug, I never changed any criteria, scope or subfolder option. Just
initiated search.
ugh, this looks VERY much like the stack trace for bug 50224
I'm adding waterson to the CC to see if this stack looks at all familiar

This is showing up as one of the top crashes in current talkback data. Adding
topcrash keyword and adding crashing function to summary.

this is a topcrash? people search that much?
I'm wondering if the topcrash is being caused by something else
It's also the same crash as 48968. I wonder if we can just dup all of these and
cut down some of our nsbeta3+ bugs?
That would be a good idea. I'll leave up to you guys to dupe and then perhaps
we can change the summary of the remaining bug to reflect the overall problem.
PDT agrees P1
I think this might be fixed - the first search succeeds without crashing. I'm
having some trouble with subsequent searches, but the crash is gone.
