- go www.hotmail.com - start typing some characters expected: - text goes into the "sign in name" field where the flashing cursor is actual: - text goes into the url bar. there are also two flashing insertion points, one in the url bar and the other in the "name" field. this seems to work fine on win32, must be maconly.
this should be fixed as it's a HTML4 correctness issue.

This is still not fixed. I still see the two flashing insertion points as mike has originally reported and the text typed goes into the url bar directly. fyi: on mail.yahoo.com , I see two insertion points but text goes in the username field when typed. Am reopening this bug. (build 2000091304m18)

verified fixed mac 2000091520, focus is set to the first textfield on page, and no caret in URLbar.
