Build 2000-09-11-08M18: Mac 9.04 Overview: To see a mail folder's context menu I, very often, have to select the Control key and select the folder twice. Steps to reproduce: 1. Select a mail folder, notice a tooltip appears 2. With the Control key pressed, select the mail folder Actual Results: The context menu appears to flash. With the Control key still selected, select the mail folder a second time and then the context menu appears. If the tooltip does Not appear then holding the Control key and selecting the mail folder once displays the context menu as expected. Expected Results: Selecting the Control key and selecting the mail folder should display the context menu on the first try. It shouldn't matter if a tooltip is displaying at the time. Additional Information: - Win and Linux work as expected. Right clicking on a mail folder displays the context menu, even if a tooltip was present.
I tried to find another bug related to this issue but couldn't. I'm marking nsbeta3 because it's confusing to see it not work and then work.

in a builds from today or yesterday i've seen "stuck" tooltips block left-clicking on a folder in mail on linux. There's already a bug on persistant tooltips so i didn't file it as a separate bug. Annoying though.

tried this with a build from 9/14/00-5pmish and this WFM. jrgm?
this used to be worse on Windows than what I'm seeing right now. Before the tooltip wouldn't go away when using context menus. Not they seem to go away as soon as you move the mouse which seems fine to me for this release. I haven't tried the other platforms yet.
clearing nsbeta3+ for re-triage, and hopefully a downgrade to -/future.

Someone should be marking this WFM... marking pdtp3 and adding nsbeta3- since Peter agrees.
