User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.6; rv:2.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.6; rv:2.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0 A <1px vertical line down the right hand side of images the same color as background. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Load test case. 2. Resize Window (may be optional) Actual Results: It appears the background color is leaking through the image border on the right hand side. This appears to be only at some window sizes, so depends on where the image ends up on the screen. I have included a few images in the test case so it is more likely one of them will exhibit the behavior. If they don't, try resizing the window. The bug will appear as a 1px (maybe less than 1px) red vertical line down the right hand side of the image between the image itself and the image border. I have had a few people try it and it appears to be unique to Firefox 3 and Firefox 4 on the MacOSX platform only. Win7 and Linux users do not report this behavior. Expected Results: No line.

I wonder whether this is due to pixel-snapping borders...

Boris did you see the issue? Unco -> New?

I see the issue, yes. It depends on window width, as expected, because then centering places things on non-integer-pixel boundaries.

Does this testcase show the bug for you?
WFM on Windows. I suspect this is Mac not supporting EXTEND_PAD properly ... bug 567370.
Depends on: 567370
The second testcase does not seem to exhibit the behavior. The images are solid black and there is no red leakage. (MacOS 10.6.7 Snow Leopard)
Can you please attach a single-file testcase that does show the problem?

It still exhibits the problem if I bring in the CSS, but I really don't know how you are doing that thing with the base64 encoded data. Maybe try it with the JPG I provided instead of a PNG?
