Details

The document in http://www.w3.org/People/all contains a list of links to other
elements in the document (fragment ident. URLs containing %40); Clicking on an
entry in the list has no effect at all. Try to click on "Berners-Lee" for instance.
Confirming with build 2001012120 on NT4. I think this belongs to HTML Element.
Is this somehow a regression of the fixed bug 55244 and/or bug 56285?

On the contrary, I think mozilla is doing the right thing here.  The anchor
start-tag contains
"A NAME="timbl%40w3.org"
rather than
"A NAME="timbl@w3.org"
so that when we unescape the fragment ID, it changes to the wrong thing.

Good catch. The HTML specs says that comparisons between fragment identifiers
[p.18] and anchor names must be done by exact (case-sensitive) match, but
identifiers but must obviously be unescaped first... So W3C has illegal markup
on his page.

How could I suspect that from W3C ?-)))
