When starting the browser (if another process is using the sound card), it will
not appear until the sound card becomes available.  The same problem occurs when
loading pages which have sound as part of flash movies.

This problem was not evident until I installed the shockwave flash plugin
I noticed that the Biff sound blocks the browser while playing, too. Maybe this
is related.
