When you position an element with overflow:auto or overflow:scroll and set the focus to this element you cannot get it to scroll unless you click on the scrollbar and drag the scrollbar. You cannot scroll it using the up/down, pageup/pagedown keys nor with the scrollwheel with the mouse over the element. Platform: windows NT Build: 20001010901 Jeff Yates. PS. May be related to but 40498.

I don't see this using 2001022705 on WinNT. I will attach the testcase I am using. pbwiz, try using this testcase an tell us if you see the problem. If not, submit your own test case and lets see if we can work this down to a simple case.

Greg, Your test case does not work on my build (Mozilla 0.8 build 2001021508). Also, I have given a link where you will find another test case that does not work in Mozilla, but looks the same in IE (as your does not) and should work the same in both browsers. Test Case URL: http://www.pbwizard.com/MozBugs/ScrollTestCase.htm Jeff. PS. How do you attach a test case to the bug report????

http://www.pbwizard.com/MozBugs/ScrollTestCase.htm worked for me with 2001022705 on WinNT and Linux. I would call it fixed. Can you download the new one and give us a verification? There is a link at the top of the page called "Create a new attachment" under the "Keywords" field. Just click and follow the instructions. It is easier to attach a simple testcase incase someone acidently delete your mozbugs directoy on you server. :)

Greg, Is there a pre-built version of 2001022705 available for download. When I went to http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla/releases/mozilla0.8/ the latest build for Win32 is feb 15'th (the one I already have). I will gladly install the newer one if you could give me directions to where to get it. Note: I do not have the software or experiance to build it my-self. Jeff.

Just installed build 2001022705 and it does not work in this. Platform: Win32 on NT4 Both the scroll wheel and the keyboard navigation does not work. I have also noticed that the scroll event NEVER fires under any circumstances. I do not know if this is related. Jeff.

I think this actually is a dup of 63663, even though the CSS used is different. The problem is still that scrollable divs that aren't complete documents don't get caught by the mousewheel or keyboard scrolling code. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 63663 ***
