currently, the name of the jar file which lies inside the xpi gets always the
same name as the "locale" name inside the "write ..." dialog.
As I'm keeping the platform specific files now as own installs, they all have
the same locale name, but different jar and xpi names.
When I installed my de-unix.xpi, it did overwrite my de-AT.jar in chrome
directory, and UI got unuseable.
So I propose you add a field into "write xpi" dialog which lets you select a
.jar file name.
The other possibility, which could be the better solution if you also care for
bug 65352, is to provide the field with the .jar name in the "edit install"
window, so that each install has it's default .jar name, that is used when
writing the install into any XPI (even an xpi holding more than one .jar).

reporter: is this bug still valid or does the currect xpi export solve the
problem now that bug 65352 is fixed ?

Well, it was fixed a bit differently than I originally thought, but I think it
can be marked "fixed" without any problems, looks like everything I wanted then
is working now...
