Build 2001032921, Linux 2.4.3 i686, RedHat 6.1, XFree86 4.0.2
When I was attempting to connect to an FTP site that already had the
maximum number of users, Mozilla failed silently in the GUI. The command
line output showed:
Error loading URL ftp://ftp.kde.org/pub/kde/unstable/CVS/snapshots/current/:
804b0002
while a CLI ftp showed:
Connected to max.tat.physik.uni-tuebingen.de.
421 60 users (the maximum) are already logged in

I successfully get a error message that states that the FTP server is full.
Marking fixed.
