I know there is already a bug for this in POP, but that seems to deal with
protocal or something.
In my IMAP mail, if I click on the green diamond to mark a message unread, the
mail icon changes to the new state correspondingly.  There should be some
differentiation between the two states.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Open mailnews
2.click on green diamond to mark as unread


Actual Results:  Mail status icon changes to indicate that it's new.

Expected Results:  Mail icon should stay in normal state, without the green
arrow that indicates it was just downloaded.

bold / green dot indicates unread or not, the status column indicates new,
unread, replied, etc.

the status column should only say "New" on new messages, and when you toggle the
green dot, the status column should then toggle between "read" and blank.

my guess is the problem is we probably aren't clearing the MSG_FLAG_NEW flag
when we mark the message as read.

that's definitely a bug.  is that what you meant?

I see what you're saying.  I'm sorry I used the wrong terminology somewhere
along the line.  What I filed this for was the mail icon (left of the subject).
 I think it should only be a picture of a message with a green arrow if its
status is new.  Otherwise, no green arrow.
