RE: Win32 build (1999-06-02-08 m7)
1. Run apprunner.exe, open messenger from Tasks menu
2. Select Inbox folder from nsmail-5, click on a Unread (bold text) mail message
from the thread pane
3. Message is displayed but status does NOT change to READ and bold text stays
unchanged. However, I can change status to READ when using Mark|As Read
Cannot test today's Linux build
This problem also occurs on Mac (1999-06-02-09 m7)

Additional observation:
Win_nt4.0: I can change message status to READ using Mark|As Read on the first
message.  But then it failed to respond when I keep trying the second and the
third message.
I can change message to READ using Mark|As Read as I try many other messages.

On Mac: I can change message to READ using Mark|As Read for all the messages.
I can't reproduce this using pop.  Has this been implemented for IMAP?  Are you
using an IMAP or Pop server?  If you're using IMAP, mscott would know if this is
a regression or a feature that hasn't been implemented yet.
mark as read hasn't been implemented on imap yet so if you're using an imap
server, it's not a regression.

mark as read seems to be working fine for me on pop though....

This isn't on the plate for Imap in M7. I have to consult the schedule to see
when we were going to do this. Guessing M9 for now...

This also occurs in the June 15 PPC Seamonkey respin build (1999061514).  IMAP
messages do not change to READ once viewed.

I'll look at this one - it's been bugging me.

fixed in nsImapMailFolder.cpp to mark the message read in the db. I doubt this
has anything to do with 10295, however.

Imap message now changes to Read.  Problem has been fixed.
