I donwloaded Mozilla 0.9 (talkback)
I unzipped it and clicked on "mozilla.exe"
A dialog poped-up starting with:
"Windows is not currently setup to match your Windows Integration Preferences"
What the heck is that supposed to mean?
Then it continues:
"This means that Windows will not use this application when you open all types
of documents and Internet shortcuts that you have indicated".
I'm sorry, but I've not indicated anything at all. I just clicked on
an executable called mozilla.exe (talkback build).
In french, I would call the content of this dialog "charabia".
This dialog doesn't give a good first impression of mozilla.

I disagree with the duplicate.
I would have been 100% happy to have the text described
in 63870:
"Do you want to set up Windows so that it will use this application whenever
you open the kinds of documents and Internet shortcuts that this application
can view?"
This is Ok. The current dialog is 10 time worse.

Ok, it would appear that something isn't working right the first time Mozilla
starts. It's complaining that the settings it made have been changed, when it
can't have made those settings because it hasn't run before. --> XP Apps.

For some strange reason this was never fixed on the trunk.

Changes the text to match that of 6.2.. also makes the title of the dialog the
name of the application so as not to confuse the user as to which application
has loaded.

I believe it notices if You have netscape 6.x using preferences of any file type
and previous installations of mozilla. So its finding it in the registry I believe.
