Details

I didn't have the Java installed originally. When I visited a site that requires
java plugin, I downloaded one. But the download window doesn't show any
"Progress". The end user will not know what is going on and might cancel the
download.

Build: 0509 build on Win NT.
nominating for nsbeta1
Keywords: nsbeta1
that's why they mention on the dialog "pls be patient this might take some time"
But , i've seen this too, the dialog jsut sits there and then starts doing the
installation after a while.
Xiaobin, can you please look at this?

I've seen "barber pole" spinning after the download is complete. It would be
good to show atleast the barber pole rather than not showing anything.
Displaying "Progress Bar" will be the best fix!!
Reassign!
this would be a dup of bug 79373
Xiaobin, please try this XPI link on linux and see if it shows you a progress
bar: http://www.mozilla.org/projects/blackwood/webclient/release-notes/1_0-
xpi.html
I tried the xpi Ed metioned and it has a progress bar. So I don't think the java
install xpi missed that feature. I just think sometimes it takes long time to
download the plugin. Reopen 80170 if Java plugin download has problem.
