java plugin download popup comes up even after I installed the plugin thru browser installer

i saw this on today's trunk on linux 0515

I used the installer and did a custom install with java selected.
After installation , I launched the browser and went to a page woth applet.
However, the 'java plugin download' window popped up asking me to install java.

I  think thaere are a few similar bugs floating around, but I wanted to file 
this one since this one is seen using the browser installer.

am also blocked due to bug 80170
this maybe a dup of bug 80964.
Bug 80171 means the xpi actually do not do the actually installation. So I think 
this bug is the dup of that one.

This is not a duplicate of bug 80171 unless you were on a directory listing and 
clicked on a raw file link. If you were taken to the jvm.html page on 
Netscape's site it has an alternate method using the InstallTrigger object 
which we think works (except when it fails spectacularly with a few crash 
regressions -- but you'd know if you hit one of those).

Look in your program directory for an Install log, or if that location is 
read-only look in your $HOME/.mozilla directory. The install log should have 
important information.

I am having this same problem. I see nothing about the installation of this
plugin in the install.log file but it extracted all the files to java2/ and made
the symlink.
I tried to downlaod nightly build and do a custom install and I can't find
installing java option. 
So, shrir, can you verify this for me? Thanks.
