i've seen this for a while and you can observe it with 2001-08-29 build ****
Steps to reproduce:
- open a new mail composition window;
- type one accented char into the subject field ( like Alt+0+225);
//note: the chars is entered into the header but not in the Window's title, the
caption is still saying (no subject). After you enter a second chars into the
Subject the first accented chars will show up on the window caption, etc, there
one char delay, screen shot to follow

I've seen this similar (no subject) title with Chinese Traditional bug
that Rui logged few days back.
Status: NEW → ASSIGNED
this is a seperate problem from bug # 94024, it does happens with Chinese chars
as well but the bug Rui entered is mainly about certain chinese chars that can
not be picked up by the window title because they are a part of an extended char
set, see his comments - Additional Comments From Rui Xu 2001-08-29 16:41 -------

I think this is because the title update code is trackig KeyDown or KeyUp but
not IME code nor KeyPress events.
P4 , future it.

I think both roy and me are off mozilla for more than 2 years. If these bugs are
still here now, I think the real stauts is 'won't fix'. If you want to reopen
it, please find a new owner for it first.
