9791 - POP Apprunner console doesn't close after doing a Send Later in Messenger

Tested on Win and Mac so far
If you Send Later a message, then you close Messenger, and close Browser
apprunner console doesn't closes.  You have to close it manually.

1. Launch Apprunner
2. Open Messenger
3. Select New Msg, address a message to yourself and select Send Later from the
File menu.
4. File|Close Messenger
5. File|Close Browser
Notice the appunner console is still opened, I've waited 5+ minutes and it
doesn't close.  I have to close it manually on Windows, however on mac I can't
close it manually.  Still checking Linux

Expected results:  This window should close.

I'm assuming you've tried other things besides Send Later and it closed?  If
that's the case, then I'm reassigning to rhp.

Yes, I tried several other mail scenarios.  Send, Send Unsent Messages, Get Msg,
Reading mail then closing, Opening and closing folders in combination with Send
Later and alone.  In all cases where Send Later was part of the action the
console window did not close.

Same ofr linux using build 19990713 the terminal window is not released, have to
close it and reopen to use it again.

Using builds dated 19990719 on win32, linux and mac I'm still seeing problems.
Win32, the console is still not closing
Linux, when you close the windows it still goes into a long clean up .... then
core dumps
Mac, when you close all the windows crashes
Fenella logged a crashing bug for send later 10168, I think those crashes are
due to this bug fix.  Reopening this so this connection can be evaluated.
Note:in Fenella's bug she say Win NT4.0 is crashing, I'm not crashing with
Win95, but as stated above apprunner console isn't closing.

I've tested this again and it seems to work on both Win32 and Linux.

I tested this with the 7/23 build on win98 and I still have the problem, again I
tested with the 7/25 build on win95 and I now crash.  However, there are stopper
bugs for the 7/25 build and it is unstable so I will wait and re-test with a
7/26 build.  I will test linux and mac with the 7/216 build too.

Linux and Mac: Compose window closes after doing a Send Later
However Win_nt (1999-08-16-09 M9): Compose window does not clse after Send
later. Reopen this bug as a parity bug.

Is your Mac system setup for IMAP FCC operations? If so, this is a duplicate of
another bug.

This bug wasn't about the Compose window not closing it was about the
apprunner console not closing after doing a Send Later (see steps).   For me
using the 8/16 m9 build on win98 & linux the console window now closes.  For mac
we crash after closing the 3-pane window due to bug 12127 so Mac can't be
verified.  When this was tested it was a single pop account IMAP wasn't
involved. Since win and linux are actually fixed, I will changed the resolution
back to Fixed and wait until the mac can be tested, then verifiy it.

I understand, but what has been happening on IMAP accounts is that I never get
the copy complete event when finished...so I never destroy the compose window,
which will prevent the apprunner console from closing because there is an open
window.

That is why I asked the IMAP question, but didn't get an answer so I assumed it
was.

OK, so this bug should be for POP and the other bug (11843) for IMAP.  I'll edit
the Summary for this one as POP and verify it when the Mac is ready and we can
put this same scenario in the duplicate bug as a test case.

Using mac 19990820M9 on Mac works now.   As mentioned above this scenario (POP)
is fixed.  A new bug can be opened for IMAP if it's not working when it's
implemented.   Verified
