It would be nice if the HTML editor were a separate XPI module from the core browser, so that people (like me) who never use it could avoid downloading it. I don't have any accurate way of measuring this, since it's not obvious which of the components of the installed tree belong to the editor, but it seems likely that this would cut at least a megabyte off the download size.
You do realize that textareas use the editor code, right?
