RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 96843

Details

When I press Ctrl-F to invoke the "find file" dialog, it pops up and my window
manager gives it the focus, but the characters that I type are not inserted into
the text entry field. This is strange because the existing text within the
entry field, if any, is selected, and it *appears* that the text widget has the
focus.

When I click into the text entry, typing in text becomes possible.

Likewise, pressing Enter or Esc doesn't work as expected -- I have to use the
mouse and click on a button.

This bug poses a serious usability problem with the "Find" dialog and should be,
if at all possible, fixed before the milestone.

This happens with the 0.9.4 build from 09-09 (downloaded from
nightly/latest-0.9.4). It does NOT happen with 0.9.3 which I am using to report
this bug.
