Firefox 27 on Mavericks.

In Firefox, I have the page https://wiki.mozilla.org/IRC .
I Apple-click on the link #firefox . 
The link opens in a background tab. 

* Expected behaviour : * 
I am not interrupted until I go to the new tab. When I go to the new tab, Firefox asks me whatever he needs to ask me. The menu bar does not lose her menus.

* Actual behaviour : * 
Firefox asks me whether I want to open the IRC link with Mibbit or whatever. This dialog is modal. It blocks the current tab, and the whole window, and even the application Firefox, the menu bar is crippled, almost all the menus have gone away. I am interrupted.

Nicolas is talking about the Launch Application dialog box, with IRC set to "Always ask" in Preferences -> Applications.

On Mac, the dialog is even more than window-modal, it is even app-modal. See the crippled menu bar.

On Windows (7), I reproduce the bug, with a few differences due to the plaform. On Windows, when I middle-click on the link "#firefox", I get the dialog jumping at me, window-modal because menus are on each window on Windows.

Thank you, Frankie. You are probably right. But I did not set this myself in the Prefs.

This was fixed a few releases back, in bug 1661030.
