The error message means that the Firefox.exe can not load the xpcom.dll that is inside the same application directory.
Either the file is gone, damaged or it's the wrong version of the file.

Firefox itself doesn't touch the application directory but the updater does.
Do you get this only after an update of Firefox ?
We had such cases only years ago with AV software that had some broken virtualization feature.
I do not know if your "McAfee VirusScan" contains such broken features but I didn't see a recent report from any of our users about such an issue.
