Additional steps to comment 10, in case someone else will want to verify this:
while firefox closed
1.  Create a folder called "distribution" in the directory where Fx is installed.
2. Create a file policies.json in which you add the policy from comment 10. 
3. Fire up firefox.
4. type any intervention into the address bar: e.g.: *update firefox*, *cache firefox*, *refresh firefox* or any of the keywords listed [here](https://searchfox.org/mozilla-central/rev/96f1457323cc598a36f5701f8e67aedaf97acfcf/browser/components/urlbar/UrlbarProviderInterventions.jsm#64)
