/Applications/Thunderbird.app/Contents/MacOS/thunderbird-bin -p   (or -P, either one)

It brings up the profile manager.  https://support.mozilla.org/kb/using-multiple-profiles

/Applications/Thunderbird.app/Contents/MacOS/thunderbird-bin -p   (or -P, either one)
