In message list Cards View, indicate clearly when a message is unread. This task may be broken up into subtasks if helpful. This assumes light mode as a default. Dark themes and high contrast themes are in a different ticket. It is okay to combine work and close related tickets.

In message list Cards View, indicate clearly when a message is unread This includes updating the icon for unread messages. The icon is a green dot. The subject on unread messages are bold, which is the current functionality. Make sure this works for light themes, dark themes, and high contrast themes. This task may be broken up into subtasks if helpful.
