Thanks for triaging this issue. However, I believe this merge of bug reports would also require changing the title of bug 292067. Indeed, it's now "Allow creation of a filter to detach attachment upon mail receipt/send", which implies an _automatic_ action, whereas this bug, with all the comments around extensions like AttachmentExtractor is about a _manual_ action, typically from a context menu rather than the filter dialog.
