Like others, I'm pleased to see the detach feature, but would like to specify that it happens automatically, so my attachments are stored in a folder and just referenced from the mail message. It would be good to enhance the filter dialog to 'Detach to <folder>' upon receipt of a message 'With Attachment' Reproducible: Always

This is an automated message, with ID "auto-resolve01". This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code. While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug (given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more reproduction information if you have it. If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved. Thank you for your help in this matter. As a complement, it would be nice to have the "delete" option as well, i.e. to be able to delete the attached file rather than to save it.

It seems both FiltaQuilla and AttachmentExtractorContinued have been rendered inoperative by the latest updates. With the mass of emails today, all in text as well as HTML, often with attachments, storage management is important, being able to clean in a secure way, too. And in my opinion, working with attachments concerns security and confidentiality and should therefore be integrated into the main program.
My main use for AttachmentExtractor actually comes from a TB missing option : copy-selfs are always saved with the attachment, where it could be largely sufficient to save the copy-self with a link to the attached file. As TB does not provide such an option, I need regularly to remove all attachments from my copy-selfs. And doing this one by one is rapidly becoming tedious.
So I also agree with the comment by Dany 13 years ago, that the filter should not only allow to detach but also to delete attachments.
Actually, concerning the sent copies, the attachment should be deleted, BUT the link to the file should be retained, as when the attachment is detached. So, perhaps, this is a different improvement suggestion.
Thanks in advance to the programmers for considering this

In the present context of requirement to reduce CO2 emissions, this feature becomes a must have.
