Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:62.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/62.0 Build ID: 20180621152331 Steps to reproduce: Firefox Android's autocomplete was recently changed to emphasize topdomains.txt (top domains) over my browsing history, recommending useless sites. Actual results: explainxkcd.com is my most visited domain beginning with e. I type "e" and get "ebay.com", which I never visit by typing into the address bar (and occasionally click on from Google). I type "ex" and Firefox autocompletes with expedia.com, which I basically never visited and have no intention of visiting. I have to type 4 characters (expl) to get my desired site. (Apparently this behavior is disabled after a large number of visits, x completes to xkcd.com while "m." completes to m.slashdot.org which I barely ever visit and "m" completes to "moz-extension:/" which is useless from the URL bar). (Unsure if this happens: After I type 1 character in my browsing history but not top domains, the autocomplete disappears instead of being replaced with my desired site. So I have to type *at least* 2 extra characters to get to the websites I want to visit.) (My theory is Firefox randomly decides *not* to load a completion, leaving your URL blank. And this has nothing to do with topdomains.txt.) Expected results: My URL completion is based off my own history alone, not "statistically popular websites among other people". I have an option (preferably enabled by default, like Desktop and older Android) to disable topdomains.txt completion entirely.
