User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9a3pre) Gecko/20070211 SeaMonkey/1.5a
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9a3pre) Gecko/20070211 SeaMonkey/1.5a

SeaMonkey 1.5a is breaking descenders, adding extra width on characters, sheering/ripping a line of text, and missing/misprinting characters. This especially happens while typing and editing or if there's a dialog box or DHTML that modifies or overlays the text.

Also, when printing, the fonts often appear as solid black bars.

Occurs on several different builds of 1.5a (even fresh installs in a new directory with a new profile) but doesn't occur at all with 1.1.

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go to a page with some editing (like https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/enter_bug.cgi) or some DHTML (like http://news.yahoo.com)
2. Occasional glyphs are misprinted, especially when first displayed. Seems to occur often when typing 'm's.
3.

Part of the display problem is trivial, but the broken printing is important.
Attaching example of what I'm seeing. Several screen snapshots combined into one image, plus a clip from a printout.

This bug has been buried in the graveyard and has not been updated in over 5 years. It is probably safe to assume that it will never be fixed, so resolving as WONTFIX.

I haven't seen this problem in a LONG time. I'd normally change to WFM but I'm not sure about the graveyard.
