Details
I went to http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/aurora/ and tried to download firefox.
I'm running 64-bit Linux Mint 15
It downloaded http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/latest-mozilla-aurora/firefox-30.0a2.en-US.linux-i686.tar.bz2
When I tried to run that it failed.
I manually downloaded http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/latest-mozilla-aurora/firefox-30.0a2.en-US.linux-x86_64.tar.bz2 and that worked fine.
Some further investigation revealed that my machine doesn't have the 32-bit ALSA libraries installed (apparently no other software on my machine needs these).
So my real complaint is that the web page downloaded the 32-bit version of firefox when it should have downloaded the 64-bit version.
Even while running the 64-bit version of aurora (30.0a2 (2014-04-23)) it still only offers to download the 32-bit version.
