Connect to a Wi-Fi network, and stay in the "Wi-Fi" screen in the Settings app 2. Look at the difference in signal strengths between the "connected" network's symbol, and the one in the top/notification-bar area (system tray?) See screenshot.

Are we going to fix this bug? The inconsistent signal strengths would confuse users. NI wifi QA owner for following determination.

NI developer for this inconsistent issue. Hi Vincent, This might need you to determine if it will be fixed.

Hi EJ, I found that signal level in status bar is updated based on "connectioninfoupdate event". If I press "Search Again" button in settings app, the wifi signal level in settings app will sync with the signal level in status bar.

I am navigating what happened here.

Vincent, I assumed that there must be one missing step that you guys didn't mention in STR - Both of you have pressed the AP once and then the wifi signal bar stops to update , right ?
Flags: needinfo?(vchang)
At least this is one of the reason that would cause the wifi status bar failed to update, right now, waiting for Vincent's confirmation to make sure what else that would cause the problem.
Per offline talk, I must have pressed connected AP accidentally to cause the bug.
