Watch the animation

The animation shows a new tab being created, although to me it looks odd because we show the close button for the background tab but there is no title for the background tab, so it just looks like a random floating close button. We could solve this by putting a tab title alongside that close button (even something such as "Firefox Home Page").

Also, on HiDPI screens, there is a visible gap between the tab and the navigation toolbar, as seen in this screenshot: http://screencast.com/t/8BwhTJxr

The hairline visible gap is a quick fix, but the tab title has both creative and l10n implications.

Ty, any recommendations for this one?

Hmm, its a challenging one since we are trying to avoid adding any copy into these visuals. Ill give it some thought and tinker with the PSD to see what we can do.

PR added for the hairline gap. As noted in the PR:

Chrome on OS X (release & Canary) is adding a weird 1px white inset border-ish thing to the tab on my MBP retina display. The bug doesn't appear on a standard resolution monitor. I spent a bit of time researching and trying little fixes, but nothing got rid of it. Looks fine in all other browsers. Didn't think it was worth more than 30 minutes, but worth mentioning.
