In order to test the tarako app we need to have the combined categories in prod. I made https://github.com/mozilla/zamboni/compare/2014.04.22-2...2014.04.24 but see now that it also includes the category name change for all locales and if we pick it they'll all revert back to English in production. Is it easy to make a patch without that change in it?
This was necessary to make it possible to whitelist the tarako categories in the form that validates the categories. I'll look into making a hack for this, but I fear I'll end up with something too complex that I'd rather not see go in production...
I tested locally and it should be fine to cherry-pick this change as-is. The changes to categories translations are limited to the search API in that commit, and we shouldn't have code that cares about displaying categories translations and search in the repos (the reviewers search could have been impacted, but it doesn't display categories) TL;DR: that change doesn't affect categories displayed to the user, so we're fine.
