1. Set javascript.enabled to false in about:config, or block JavaScript in add-ons like NoScript or Adblock Plus. 2. Load any knowledgebase article, e.g. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/keyboard-shortcuts-perform-firefox-tasks-quickly There should be a prominent "JavaScript is disabled or blocked" warning at the top of the page. Visit a site like http://stackoverflow.com with JavaScript disabled to get a rough idea. This notification should link to an article like https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/javascript-settings-for-interactive-web-pages which should be readable without JavaScript. Otherwise, people are liable to mistake Java for JavaScript. 1. JavaScript is essential to viewing knowledgebase articles. It's needed to display only the information specific to the operating system used. This is what support articles look like without JavaScript: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/attachment.cgi?id=8412375 2. Users with JavaScript disabled or blocked can't be expected to be aware of that, or to know how to re-enable it. See below for just a few examples: http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?f=38&t=2815637 http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?f=38&t=2823167 http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?f=38&t=2777435
