I want to limit the number of bookmark backups to 4
. How can I do this?
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; rv:28.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/28.0 (Beta/Release) Build ID: 20140314220517 Steps to reproduce: Set browser.bookmarks.max_backups to 4. Actual results: It does not respect this value. 5th + backup bookmarks are not deleted. See thread https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/996149 Expected results: One the creation of the daily bookmark backup the 5th + are not deleted.
this should be verified on Firefox 30+, the code pretty much changed there.
O.K., I may have spoken too soon. I had decided to let the backup bookmarks "build up" to see where, and if, they would stop. Yesterday, FF 28 had built up to 5. Today, however, instead of having 6, it deleted the 5th and currently I have 4 bookmark backups. Hmmm...
If the problem has reoccurred, please test the latest version of Firefox. Then post a comment if this report needs to be reopened. https://support.mozilla.org/kb/update-firefox-latest-version
