A friend of mine just ran into this.
Looks fine in Safari. Looks broken in Firefox (29, 28 also reported).

Not sure if this is an outreach issue, one of our bugs, something we can work around, or a combination.

Richard, do we have a regression range? Or at least steps to reproduce? I have access to a OWA install if needed.
I doubt this is a form controls issue, in any case...

STR: compose an email with a long line using an affected version of OWA.
Anecdotally this only affects a new deployed version of OWA some time in the last two weeks. I don't know if your OWA install is new enough -- the one that my friend has access to is MSFT-managed, so probably running atop an up-to-date Exchange cluster.
I don't have a Firefox regression range; I could attempt to get one by having my friend try progressively older release versions, if you think it would be valuable (let me know), but reports on the web indicate that this goes back at least to 28.

A regression range would in fact be very helpful here... Right now it's not even clear whether this is our bug or an OWA bug that we should contact Microsoft about. :(

On this thread a user says the issue can be reproduced also on Firefox 24 ESR. So this might not be caused by the Firefox 28 update, rather a tech evang bug, unless something related patch has been backported to ESR.

That's my feeling, too.
"Anecdotally this only affects a new deployed version of OWA some time in the last two weeks."
I don't think we can get a regression window without pinning against particular versions of OWA, which probably points the finger...

Looks like the issue has already been fixed, as per Bug 1002255 and
